Some of the questions we hear regularly:

They say you need a car repaired every 7 years on average. Thats a long time and lots to relearn between visits. Here is a list of

questions we hear all the time. Maybe it will help you navigate your every-decade car accident!

- Will Roy's work with my insurance company? Yes. We have not found an insurance company yet that we do not work with. Insurance companies sometimes have preferred body shops for their own reasons, however, we are able to fix your car no matter which company you use. They make cheap insurance and they make good insurance but the repaired result you get from Roy's will always be repaired correctly and billed directly to your insurance company.

- Do you have a warranty on your work? Yes. When you repair a vehicle here the repairs are guaranteed to last as long as you own the vehicle no matter which insurance company you are covered by. We will only repair cars in a way that can ensure that the repair is as good as the original.

- How long will the repair take? Tricky question- lots of things impact the length of repair such as parts availability, extent of damage, and the make of the vehicle. Roy's is uniquely designed with speed in mind. You will not find a faster shop between the time you drop off your keys to when you receive these same keys back. Multiple technicians will be working on your vehicle to make sure parts are ordered in advance, additional damage is found early in the process, and any delays are the exception rather than the rule.

-Will it exceed my deductible? - Most generally yes. Most deductibles are $500 or $1000 and the average repair is generally about $3500. There are mirrors and windshields that exceed $500 for the part alone.

-Can you just look at my car and tell me what it needs even if it isn't auto body related?- Yes! We are car people. We like car stuff and whether we can help you with your needs or not, we are happy to simply answer car questions when you swing by with your car. If you just have a question and don't know who to trust or who to ask what to do, just walk in the door asking for Chris

- Do I need multiple estimates? - No, every insurance company is required to let you take your vehicle where you are most comfortable. Generally the difference between a high estimate and a low estimate is the level of care taken in writing the estimate. Body shops in a geographical area are limited in their ability to set their own labor rates and so most body shops will be similar to other shops in the area. Once the repair is completed the job will cost about the same regardless of where you get it fixed.

-Why do I need an estimate?- An estimate is used to give you and the insurance company an idea what the repair will cost. It is regularly quite a ways different than the actual cost of repair. Much of what will need to be done to the car to make it factory condition again will be found when we actually get into the job. We do not pad the estimate with some profit like what is done in some industries so what ends up on the repair order is a very detailed description of exactly what was done to the vehicle. No more, No less.

-Will my car be as safe as it was before? - Absolutely! If you have your car repaired at Roy's you can expect a lifetime warranty on the workmanship as well as expect the car to be returned to factory safety and durability. We are set on making your car as good as it was before the accident.

- Do you repair rust? - Short answer... No. Rust if present, has actually eaten away sections of your metal, generally from the back-side. While it is possible to sand it off, glaze over it, and paint it- Roy's cant do that. It is a poor repair and the rust will come back in time. We only do work that we can guarantee for the life of the vehicle. If a panel has rust showing through the only way to correctly fix it is to replace the panel and we are super happy to do that, if that is the route you would like to take.

- Do you charge differently if I pay rather than my insurance company? - We have a labor rate that we charge to all customers coming through our door, regardless of whether they are paying out of pocket or through insurance. However, your insurance company does sometimes strongarm us into giving them a lower rate if they send a lot of work our way. We don't love it but that is the rules we have to live by. When you receive an estimate from us, the labor rate to be charged will be printed there.
